Why the Hearts for Palestine Program?

This program aims to facilitate the seamless settlement and integration of newly arrived Muslim families from Gaza. It provides initial financial assistance for essential and personal needs, along with ongoing monthly living expenses for a stipulated period in Australia. Assistance is tailored based on the age groups within each family unit to ensure meeting appropriate basic needs during this challenging period.

With a decade of experience in emergency case management, we are grateful to leverage our expertise in assisting new arrivals. This includes a digital platform to track applications and associated identification documents. Additionally, we’ve developed an assessment framework to determine the most holistic way to assist individuals or families, extending beyond financial aid. Our established audit and reporting framework ensures full transparency in all financial distributions. A trained team of case workers manages cases with empathy, privacy, and proficiency in Arabic.

This highlights why local Zakat contributions are essential. When individuals contribute locally, it enables us to be better prepared for times like this, facilitating swift and targeted assistance. Local Zakat contributions empower us to build necessary infrastructure and resources, allowing for an immediate response during emergencies, such as supporting families from Gaza.
